"After looking at several e-commerce solutions we just couldn’t find the features that we were looking for until we stumbled upon PinnacleCart. Since then we have recommended it our newest clients as the premiere e-commerce solution. So far all of our clients have been very satisfied with the results that PinnacleCart has provided them and if our clients are happy we are happy. "

"900 products. 1 spreadsheet. Every product characteristic accounted for. 1 file upload using the Bulk Product Loader and BOOM!...instant ecommerce. We manage inventory offline and upload new or edited inventory items in seconds. The Global Attributes function in Pinnacle Cart made applying additional attributes to product groups a snap and the image management was fairly intuitive as well. We are impressed with the "speed to market" afforded by Pinnacle Cart. Within 72 hours we were able to upload products and launch."

"I ship often overseas and I am now using Fortune3 which has a box-filling algorithm to calculate shipping. Before using my current software, I investigated Pinnacle Cart. I used a Pinnacle Cart host by the name of Stretched Pixel. I would recommend Larry at Streched Pixel if you are going to select Pinnacle Cart as your ecommerce software. He has excellent service and his design/graphic work is quite good. Look at arizonahobbies.com to see the design work he accomplished for me."

I cannot recommend them, even though the product seems solid. Customer support goes a long way these days, and this company is one of the WORST I have ever dealt with. It seems like a small group of about 5 or so people. They really need to get it together. "

"Something really wacky here. Talk about mixed reviews and bad info. Firstly, it says cart costs $792. I'm paying $30/month. That's it. I've had them do some coding for me and only charged me $95. They're phone support is the best I've run into. Their manual really sucks. I can never find any answers, so I have to call them, but they answer quickly and it costs me nothing. There are a few glitches and shortcomings, but overall this cart is really good. The mobile side is excellent and it comes with the cart as do several decent templates for storefronts. If you're thinking of using them, I would encourabe you to call and speak to Art. Tell him Rob K. sent you if you like. I'm a satisfied customer. By the way, all the carts suck and can cost lots of money if you're not careful. A little html coding knowledge goes a long way. PHP would be better yet, I don't know any!"

"Pinnacle cart is an average software package compared to other products out there. However, if you ever have any technical trouble with administration of the card they will charge you exorbitant fees to fix the problem. If you are running a business and have to use your online shopping cart to make money, then Pinnacle Cart technical support as you cornered and you have to pay them to get your business back up and running. You are stuck between a rock and a hard place and they are the only ones profiting. A more customer service oriented company would help you with small technical issues to make sure that you can run your business on a day-to-day basis and continued to use their software. This would ensure that they have customers for a long time rather than upset many short clients that cancel their service due to extremely poor and negligent technical support."

"Custom development: I paid $38,000 for custom web development. Contract was signed in March 2013. Work was to be finished June 7th. By June 7th they weren't finished. A couple weeks later Mike Rose announced they were all finished. (In spite of the fact that there was zero communication with me regarding the development). Lo and behold, they'd only done a small fraction of all the work. Mike said that "he didn't know" the rest was supposed to be done. Whatever. They proceeded to do a sloppy job at the rest of the project. Mike Blum said they were pulling in extra resources to get the project finished asap. Well. It's now the end of August and the whole project is still not finished. Just a few half-baked pieces here are there. My company is suffering very much since we have no website / no sales. Communication: There seems to be no communication in the Pinnacle Cart company - not among staff, nor with clients. Everything about the project was laid out with Kyle in March in much detail. But when it came to do the work, Mike Rose seemed to be completely out of the loop. Furthermore, the supervisor Mike Blum outright admitted to me in a three-hour phone conversation that "he had no idea the amount of work that was involved; he thought that it was a simple matter of 'design and data import'." Well, good grief, for $38,000?! Design: Now let's talk about design. It also took way longer than initial promises. The design staff couldn't seem to get the elements necessary together. So many conversations with Valerie Jackson about how we would like things done. Emails with pictures to explain it. Online examples. It took them so many redos to finally get it more or less right. The Facebook and Twitter designs looked whipped together like something my 8-year-old nephew could have done - didn't match the main site at all. The design was supposed to take 4 weeks. It's now been 5 months and it's still not done. I haven't seen anything about the mobile site design yet."

"Unfortunately, commercially licensed software is as much about the company, staff, support and service as it is about the product. The product 'works' but it is the approach of PinnacleCart staff in their business practices that should be a major concern to any web professional. Their business approach is to lock customers in and hold them hostage once they have used their software, and continue to try to extract maximum dollars from them ongoing, just in order for the software license holder to keep the software providing the same set of features and functions that it was purchased with to begin with. In the web industry we call this practice 'gouging'. When I raised this with the staff members (both senior and junior), they were simply rude and unhelpful, and basically took the attitude that as my customers site is currently dependent on their software, but has now shut down because of changes they have made to their system, if we want the customers site to work, we will simply pay what they demand. In this case, I had no choice, but if I could do it all over again, and if I could protect someone else from having the same experience I have had with Pinnacle Cart, I would say 'DO NOT purchase this piece of software from this company. There are many other providers that offer better products at better prices that have more respect and appreciation for their customers. In my opinion, Pinnacle Cart is a company and a software platform that cannot, should not, and does not deserve to, survive in this competitive market environment. Their business practices do not leave me, as one of their customers, with a sense that they are a company I would trust. "

They are in bed with a design firm that steals your customers if you allow them too. They are condescending and rude and their support department staff should be working a lemonade stand. Everyone you get one thing to work something else breaks and it is ALWAYS your fault no matter what the issue is. My site went down a weeks back and I lost sales in excess of $3k because they had a .php file that was "scheduled" for an update, they also have random hot fixes that add images and banners to your site for a period of time, then they go away when YOU refresh the Activate Cart Designer Theme....Awwesome!!!! "Please Consider Something Else! - Anyone looking to use pinnacle cart please take a second and just read what I have to say. I have been setting up pinnacle cart for the past month and it's the hardest most frustrating piece of software I have ever used. I am a pretty experience web designer and I had a hard time just trying to set up basic functions like shipping. If you need help forget about calling technical support! They're useless. I contacted them 10 times about questions and were unable to answer anything. Their checkout process is horribly written and setup. They make an easy 1 Page checkout process a nightmare for just the average shopping. There backend is setup and designed for people that like to search there way through a mess of overused icons and drop down menus! To give you a good example, the one thing you do the most in any backend management system is SHIP ORDERS. To find the orders page you have to navigate through a drop down menu and find it almost hidden between a list of options. FOR DEVELOPERS: Pinnacle cart was created 6-8 years ago in a rush and they spit out the software and then just added endless lines of code onto that and never really fixed or updated anything. It is still based on the old table html design. If you want to go in and edit the design be prepared to funnel your way with numerous files that have poorly written code on them. I know I might sound like I'm complaining, but to be honest I have had the most frustrating time the past month setting up this cart. So please go with something else. I suggest Shopify and am sad that I didn't go with them instead."

"I have been building shopping carts for over 10 years, and it was very refreshing to finally find a company that knows e-commerce. While no cart is perfect, this one does as good a job as any I have worked with. While it is true their customer support was lacking a few months ago, they have made great strides to improve this and now most questions are answered within an hour. Their staff is knowledgeable, patient and don't give the typical stock 'we can't reproduce this error, why don't you upgrade' response. The code is clean and easy to work with, W3C compliant, and the one click upgrades are a breeze. We are able to integrate any design we want, and customize any feature we want. If you aren't an html wizard, their cart designer makes it easy to customize the look and feel, and the back-end interface is very intuitive for making changes to the functionality. We'll be using Pinnacle Cart for every one of our clients from here on out, great job Desert Dog!"

The software is also very slow if you have more then 10,000 product in your store, even on a dedictated server. Unless you rewrite the software, you are stuck with very cumbersome js and css that further slows down the cart. This is a great solution for a small store, however, if you host this on your own server or have more then 10,000 products my recomendation would be to look for a dfferent solution. I have had their software for 1 1/2 years and have noticed an improvement, however, my opinion is that their software should be a beta stage, not production."

"Disappointed. While the cart itself is amazing the support staff doesn't seem like they know the product. I was chugging along with my design when permission issues kept me from furthering my cart-design (until I waited on hold for 20 minutes to get them corrected!). The support staff admitted this is routine. Bummer! It always seems like I'm somehow bothering them when I call for support. All in all I wish I went with another company. Be wary as when you're on the phone with them all they try and do is add extras to your cart like SSLs and try to get you to prepay for yearly service, claiming it to be a special promotion when it actually matches prices published on their site! Be wary that if they call you out of the blue it's to sell you something. When they verify your order what you're actually getting is a sales pitch. Watch out as they try to sell you a year of hosting, an overpriced SSL, all while supposedly verifying your order. Shady. Had I not signed in for a year and paid a third-party company for site design (another nightmare) i would have gone elsewhere. Only after researching the company after my design disaster did I find out that they actually paid reviewers to review their cart (wonder how those reviews turned out!) among other practices. Boo. The only good thing they've done is hiring additional staff but even that seems hit or miss. 20 minutes on hold before I even get to tell someone my site is down? Should have just bought the license and hosted elsewhere as their servers are definitely not redundant. Try asking for assistance on customization and have a chuckle at the number of times they refer you to a third-party company. Would recommend the software itself but the company seems like a bunch of people with little apathy for customers or customer support even after a big horse and pony show of hiring new staff. It's a mixed bag when you go with this company and I'll leave it at that."

I'm not a programmer, so I had to have a good cart with a great support team. That is why I think Pinnacle Cart is a Great Package. My support tickets are responded to promptly. I also have their 24/7 phone support which puts me directly in touch with a support team member. Thank You for a Great Product and Support."

"We spent many weeks researching the market to find a suitable shopping cart for our business. It had to be robust, reliable and customizable if it was going to work with our online designer application. Pinnacle Cart was certainly not the cheapest offering but it had many unique features that distance it from the competition and we have never looked back. Dean Roscoe www.shirttools.com "

"My firm had very little web marketing experience and subsequently had a problem with the web designer we hired for a new website we wanted to launch. After paying him for the implementation of the pinnacle software, we felt like we were not getting the results as promised by the web developer. I contacted Pinnacle directly and advised them of the situation. Mike in customer service took a professional approach, covering all bases and resolved the issue to our satisfaction within a matter of days. We could have easily suffered a financial loss and went to another software, but Mike acted in the best interest of the ultimate customer. We expect to be a satisfied client for a long time! Great cart, great support."

"August 2008: Apparently, I was involved in a issue of some kind by receiving software from a subcontractor to Pinnacle cart that was not properly licensed. In a big show of force a year after I purchased the software, Mike Auger at Pinnacle emailed me and many others demanding $595 for the license. I had never heard of Pinnacle before as the software had apparently been re-branded so I didn't feel comfortable handing over any money and said so. The license fee was dropped to $150 a few days later. All of my questions went poorly answered and no issues were dealt with. I paid the $150, though never fully satisfied with the explanation that they kept spouting. October 2008: They offered to upgrade the cart software for all of the users still using the software with a third party developer that they highly recommended. Pinnacle claimed that the cart I was using was several versions behind and would soon become obsolete because of a credit card authentication system that was going to change in the future. They suggested Claim the Web, another company that has been equally poor at communication as their best developer for making specialty carts. They have made very little effort in upgrading the cart providing no information about what features the upgrade will have but they were really happy to take my credit card number for the upgrade. I asked if there was a forum or a website for the new cart but these questions went unanswered. March 2009: No word from either of these companies about the upgrade since the beginning of the year. I wrote Claim the Web asking about the upgrade and was referred to Mike at Pinnacle. Mike at Pinnacle referred me to Claim the Web. Neither of these companies has provided me any information about the upgrade.I'm very disappointed in both of these companies and their treatment of myself and others in my field who needed a specialty cart. I never understood fully why they were coming after me and not after the guy I purchased the cart from. "

"After a fair bit or research, I decided to go with Pinnacle Cart. I, in all my years, have never written a positive testimonial about a company but the people at Pinnacle Cart have stood apart from various other companies that I have had dealings with over the years. It is a company with an excellent product that treats its customers with a level of service that I have rarely come across. The installation of the cart was handled by the Pinnacle Cart support team and was fast, economical and without problems. The actual cart administration hugely exceeded my expectation on many counts. I found the customizability and the management of the cart to be extremely efficient, feature-rich, and intuitive to say the least. However, my reason for offering to write this testimonial was not due to the excellent product that Pinnacle Cart turned out to be, but I offer this testimonial as I am so impressed with the company’s commitment to service. Although the process is as straight forward as could be expected, whenever I had a problem, the people at Pinnacle were extremely quick to respond and always offered friendly and personalized help. As this was the first Cart I had to deploy, there were various parts of the process that were not familiar to me, and should the people at Pinnacle not been so helpful; I could have felt stranded trying to connect the various pieces that make an e-commerce solution work. I will continue to work with Pinnacle for any other online store projects, as I feel secure that I will be in good hands. "

"Pinnacle Cart was exactly what I was looking for when I was shopping for a solution for my online store.  My top priority  in an e-commerce solution was its SEO-friendly features so  Pinnacle Cart definitely caught my eye.  After installing and  setting up Pinnacle Cart, I discovered that not only did the  cart offer all the SEO-friendly features I was looking for,  it also  incorporates an incredibly easy template system and  the ability  to create custom static landing pages without any  background in programming. Moreover, I was pleased with the  amount third- party support for Pinnacle Cart.  There are  several companies  who have developed some amazing modules and  plug-ins for this  shopping cart. Overall, I am very pleased  with the outcome.  It  was exactly what I needed to take my  business to the next level."

"I spent a long time looking for a cart before deciding on Pinnacle Cart and it was well worth my search. The cart is very easy to customize for even the most demanding of designers (me), but it can also be customized by just clicking buttons in the admin section. There are lots of nice features, such as the ability to enlarge an image from the product page, an automatic thumbnail generator, inventory control (great for antique dealers who have only one item or big sellers who go out of stock quickly), one page checkout, a straight-forward admin area to keep everything under control easily, and way much more. It is so easy to be creative with this cart and to make it function that anyone can do it. For software which performs so many complicated tasks, Pinnacle Cart makes it very easy. I highly recommend this product and I have used it now on multiple sites."

"I agree that their support is top notch. I happen to live in Phoenix so being in the same time zone as the developers helps. I'm sure that if you happen to be overseas your experience might be different because it isn't 24/7 support. The layout is a little bit clunky because it is heavily table based however I am able to get into the source and am in the process of converting the layout to a totally CSS based layout. Once I got a feel for how the files were set up it is relatively simple. That said, I look forward to future versions that will hopefully be fully CSS based and have a separate of logic from display. The functionality is very well thought through and simple to use. It is definitely a cart that could get you up and running in very little time. "

"I felt compelled to write a review based upon another review on this page. My experiences were very different than Jurgen's. In fact, I don't see how location makes any difference at all. My site www.frogsfrillsanddaffodils.com is completely customized on both the graphic and source code side. We found the code to be well documented and all questions we had were answered in a timely manner. Funny thing is I don't need support after the first week of getting used to the software. I recommend this software to anyone who is serious about selling online. "

"This cart is clearly aimed at those who want to get on and sell, not sit around tweaking for weeks. Lots of features to help you sell. If you want to tinker under the hood, probably not the best cart, but for those who just want to sell, and do it well, a great choice."

"This is very good software if you have no need for customizing the script, and live in the USA. However, if you don't fit into this category, don't use it. It's not flexible and the support is lousy. It's a black box company: their communications, information and support stinks, which is remarkable since it's not cheap software."
